The new frontiers of land
development are outside the boundaries of
major metropolitan areas. In the small City
of Trinidad, Colorado, Vision Land helped
develop 285 acres of farmland into what
is anticipated to be the premier subdivision
of this quaint bedroom community. Working
with associate and renowned land planner,
Bill Elkjer (Reston Town Center - Reston.
VA, The Meadows – Castle Rock, CO,
River Bridge – Palm Beach County,
FL, Timarron – South Lake, TX, Desert
Mountain Ranch, Scottsdale, AZ) the team
designed a mixed use development that includes
both high and low density residential units,
commercial areas, recreation areas, an equestrian
center, trails, and well planned open spaces.
The Vision Land work started with due diligence
research prior to land acquisition and continued
through the annexation, rezoning, plating
and construction document preparation process.
We provided the required civil engineering
design, worked with other sub-consultants,
and solicited and analyzed bids for construction.
Our ability to communicate effectively with
the small town government avoided costly
time delays in the submittal and approval
process.
