HEADWATERS TRAIL ALLIANCE
Grand County, Colorado
The Fraser to Granby Trail is a non-motorized, four season trail. This 15 mile multi-use trail is part of a larger trail system that will eventually link Berthoud Pass with Rocky Mountain National Park and beyond. The trail crosses US Highway 40 in an area with high traffic speeds and limited visibility where the potential for serious incidents is high.
Vision Land Consultants (formerly

Vision Land managed all of the construction related activities and design documents from preliminary stages through bid procurement and final payouts. Vision Land played an integral roll in the documentation and processing pay applications with Davis Bacon wage rates, as many of the fund were from an FHWA grant funds. Some of the design included Highway 40 expansion, a box culvert, grading plans and resolving CDOT Right of Way Monuments. A traffic control plan was also devised and implemented to allow unimpeded traffic flow through the construction site.
