Replacing an old structure with a new structure can present engineering challenges as newer and tougher engineering constraints and requirements are imposed on the same site by the numerous jurisdictions. This project included the demolition of an existing McDonald’s restaurant and construction of a new, nostalgic McDonald’s restaurant. Working with the City of Aurora Planning Department and the Colorado Department of Transportation, Vision Land was able to retrofit this site with better water quality and drainage features, and improved vehicular and pedestrian circulation through the site.
