CORNERSTAR
Denver, Colorado



Cornerstar, which will consist of approximately 800,000 square feet of commercial retail space, will combine the convenience and options of a regional shopping destination with the comfort and charm of a neighborhood corner store. Located at the most dominant, high-traffic intersection in southeast Denver, Cornerstar will offer superior shopping and dining experiences for busy residents and commuters alike. The new development will feature a gourmet market, large format retailers, small shops, a diverse mix of restaurants, as well as unique living spaces. Slated to open in fall 2008, Cornerstar will bring dynamic architectural design concepts to this prominent corner.

This high profile 160-acre parcel, located at the intersection of Arapahoe Road and Parker Road, had been attempted to be developed on several occasions by other consultants with no success. With the expertise of Vision Land staff, Vision Land Consultants was able to work with the developer, governing agencies, and contractors to complete the design documents and meet the aggressive construction timeline desired. Some of the design tasks included: CLOMR/LOMR, site grading, water and sanitary system design, drainage and stormwater detention, points of ingress/egress to the site from two separate CDOT agencies, and designs for the interior and access roads for the entire site.
