Wheatlands, a master planned community for Alberta Development Partners, consists of approximately 600 acres and has an approved Framework Development Plan (FDP) for 1553 residential units, commercial areas, a school site and a neighborhood activity center. The Contextual Site Plan (CSP) and Construction Plans for the infrastructure to service the first filing have been approved for the construction of a total 381 Multi-family and single family residential homes. The Construction Plan set included a Grading Plan, Overall Utility Plan, Sanitary Sewer Plan and Profiles, Storm Sewer Plan and Profiles, Signage and Striping plans, and Drainage Plans.
Vision Land Consultants completed Construction Plans for the Infrastructure being funded by the Wheatlands Metropolitan District. The District Infrastructure included approximately 2,600 linear feet of a four lane arterial road with super-elevation and a 36” water main, approximately 2,000 linear feet of four collector streets with water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer mains, approximately 10,600 linear feet of a two lane collector street, and miles of local streets and utilities to support the proposed development. The construction of the district infrastructure was completed in 2007.
